SAIC GM / Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC) Development and Test Center (Guangde) covers an area of 5.67 square kilometers, containing over 70 kinds of typical events with more than 60km test roads and comprehensive support facilities. It is the most professional proving ground in china that has the largest area, longest test events and the most comprehensive facilities. It can provide development, validation, regulatory verification, loads data collection and analysis for labs and quality control evaluation for vehicles under 7.5 tons. The construction project was founded on October 11, 2009 and was completed on September 22, 2012.

Since 2012 , the total mileage and revenue of GDPG has increased year by year, with test mileage reaching 18.5 million kilometers in 2016, , 3600 test vehicles of 75 customers in GDPG completing all kinds of standard tests, which brought a total revenue of 148 million RMB.

With the development of semi-automatic and automatic driving technology, GDPG actively joined the Global Active Safety Test Committee in 2017. With full cooperation with the GM global team, GDPG plans to establish a relatively complete vehicle active safety test system in the next five years, and improve the validation capability of intelligent driving test. Among them, active safety test covers emergency brake, Pedestrian Protection, APA, ALC and many other test items. Intelligent driving includes ADAS and V2X network sense technology. GDPG will effectively validate the intelligent driving function of the test hardware and software condition under different road conditions such as city, suburban, rural and high speed.
